India was..well.. interesting

I wrote this while I was on an airplane back from India. Of everything I wrote on this trip, this is the one thing that really mattered. Because, life isn't about where you go and what you do; in the end, all that matters is what you've learnt. This trip was a vacation, yes, but if you try, you can learn from anything.

My Reflection; a Thousand Feet Above:

As I fly high above all my laughs and tears, I try to recall what i've learnt these past five weeks. I've learnt about people, places, and things; I guess ideas are still somewhat a mystery.. I learnt that the only thing I can truly learn from (other than my mistakes), are instances that I don't want to relive. Maybe they're the same thing, but maybe they're not. I learnt that no matter how much I yearn for difference, a person is who they are, and they always will  be. Change is a foreign concept. I learnt that everything happens for a reason, that yelling and screaming at someone as opaque as god isn't gonna help one bit. That to have patients, you must have a companion. I learnt that you can find a companion in anything.. a person, a memory, or a pen. I learnt that to accomplish something, to help someone, the only thing you need is a brain, and that all you need to do is use it. Sometimes, your heart comes in handy too. I learnt that sometimes, you can't do everything on your own. That your mirror can no longer be your best friend, and that this world has more than meets your eyes, but it meets others', everyday. Finally, I learnt that "this world is no longer man's theater; he is but a spectator".
